Nora’s Network, an Autism Awareness and Education and Advocacy, is hosting their first-ever Family Formal. Support a great cause while enjoying time together. Heidi Segedy, founder of Nora’s Network and mother of an Autistic daughter, has thought of everything! There will be a DJ spinning child-friendly tracks, art projects for the kids, and special activities to stimulate the senses for children with Autism who are easily overwhelmed. “My goal is to provide another opportunity for families like mine to get out in the community and not have to worry about what other people think,” says Segedy. Light snacks and beverages will be provided. Open to families with children preschool through sixth grade. All proceeds will go to Nora’s Network which aims to raise money to provide iPads for all Elementary-level Kinnect Classrooms throughout the Osseo schools. $10 per child. Free for families with Autistic member. 6 –8:30 p.m. Maple Grove Community Center, 12951 Weaver Lake Road; 763.494.6500
