It seems the days grow shorter more quickly once school starts. The sun rises at 7 a.m. and sets just after 7 p.m., leaving a mere sliver of weekday time to enjoy the weather before the thermometer starts to plummet as that orange disc of fire slips into the horizon, trailing every bit of warmth after it.
Samantha Eyre captured that last moment with a Cannon Rebel XSI in a field behind her Maple Grove home. She graduated from Bemidji State University with a degree in Design Technology, so design and photography are a passion of hers. There’s something to be said for being there at the right moment—when the beauty of a simple stalk of grass speaks volumes.
