The ball will drop early over the Maple Grove Community Center on December 31.
For years, Debbie Coss has organized the early-evening New Year’s countdown as an alternative to the fast and frantic fracas of a New Year’s Eve midnight. While the event will appeal to all ages, programming focuses on the fun to be had by children and their families.
This year’s celebration continues a long tradition that has featured carnival-style games, a balloon drop, an obstacle course and more. The Maple Maze indoor playground also returns, with swimming and skating planned as well. The party goes from 6-10 p.m. at 12951 Weaver Lake Road.
Tickets are $9 in advance and $15 at the door. For more information, contact the Maple Grove Community Center at 763.494.6500.
