One of our very own Maple Grove residents, Elizabeth “Bert” Anderson, was picked from a pool of 1,200 applicants to be one of 10 finalists to compete in the first-ever Steele Fitness Challenge. The competition was a 90-day weight-loss challenge that ended in October. To help shed those pounds, she laced up her tennis shoes and hit the Maple Grove trails. “I cannot tell you how instrumental [the trails] were to my success,” she says. Although Anderson was not crowned the Steele Fitness winner, she lost a total of 28 lbs. and more than 37 inches, making her a winner in our book. She continues to maintain her weight loss through a healthy diet and regular exercise. steelefitness.com
