Community Offers Halloween Events for All Ages

Halloween Highlights: Sample some of the family-friendly activities around the area this month.

Whether it’s fall or the spookiness in the air, the Halloween season brings new energy and excitement. No matter what your style, dress up in your favorite costume, and enjoy all the tricks and treats that Maple Grove has to offer.

Halloween Family Fun
Tricks and treats are both welcome at the 10th annual Weaver Lake Park Halloween Family Fun day. Enjoy the fall air with the whole family for an afternoon of games, music and activities. Kids can play on monster inflatables, participate in the pumpkin rolling and create their own crafts. Be ready for plenty of candy and test your vocal cords in the scary scream contest. Fall Festival
Bring the whole family to celebrate Halloween bright and early in the annual fall festival on Main Street. Pick up your free candy bag to stuff with treats, and head to your favorite trick-or-treat places at local stores. Wear your best costume for the costume contest and spark your creativity in the pumpkin-decorating activity. Don’t forget to get a free picture in your costume at the photo booth! October 27. Big Woods Halloween
Get an early start on Halloween and enjoy carnival games and a pumpkin scavenger hunt at the Eastman Nature Center. Attempt the giant web walk, and meet a live snake. Participants can collect treats from costumed animals and visit the Skull Lab and Gross-out Grotto. A puppet show will round out the event. Refreshments included for adults and kids. Reservations recommended.
