Don’t Leave Your Creativity at Home When Visiting Shops in Arbor Lakes

Camp Arbor gives kids plenty of things to write home about.

After noticing that many young families visit the Shoppes at Arbor Lakes, the idea to create a fun program for guests during the summer months surfaced.

Soon to reach its 12th year, Camp Arbor is a fun and educational opportunity for little ones that takes place Tuesday mornings June 12–July 24. At each event, children are encouraged to enjoy complimentary face painting and a snack before going on with their day. Events you may see featured this year are:

T-shirt decorating
Dance party with Kidsdance!
Flower planting courtesy of Lynde Greenhouse & Nursery
The Teddy Bear Band performance
The Raptor Center at the University
of Minnesota presentation
Carnival games

Parents, make sure to keep your eyes peeled for special offers taking place during Camp Arbor from participating stores and restaurants at the Shoppes at Arbor Lakes.

Children have a chance to get creative on July 3 and discover how to let their patriotism fly. Participants can prepare for Independence Day with friends by decorating their own visors with a personalized design using fabric markers.

If weather is inclement during any of the activities, sessions may be canceled or moved to an indoor location.
Partnering with various businesses throughout the area provides those participating with the opportunity to highlight their services to attendees. Members are surveyed at the conclusion of each season, and feedback is used for the next year’s planning. Rotation on activities takes place so guests are continuously kept on their toes.
