The New Global Student by Maya Frost is a book that fascinates me. With two kids in college, I am beginning to think that alternative education acquisition is looking better and better. I imagine it’s like those parents who offer their soon-to-be-married daughter and her fiancé the opportunity to skip a big formal wedding and spend the money on an extended honeymoon in Cabo San Lucas (and a down payment on a house). Frost lays out alternatives that a person with a traditional mindset may never have even imagined in a world where the SAT test seems like the gold standard for success.
