Summer is right around the corner. With that, comes sitting outside, relaxing with a drink, so why not put a little twist on an old favorite? Instead of bourbon in your old fashioned, use barrel-aged gin. Our friends at Chankaska Creek Ranch & Winery (Kasota, Minn.) have come out with Ranch Road barrel gin.
- 2 oz. Chankaska Ranch Road barrel gin
- .75 oz. Raw cane simple syrup, infused with rosemary, lemon and orange oils
- 4 dashes Angostura bitters
- Rosemary sprig for garnish
Stir reserve, simple syrup and bitters with ice. Serve in a rocks glass over ice, and garnish with rosemary sprig.
