Local Teachers Honored as Esteemed Minnesota Educators

This year, three Osseo Area Schools teachers—Dennis Loeks, vocal music teacher at Palmer Lake Elementary, Kristin Pengra-Anderson, fifth grade teacher at Edinbrook Elementary and Lisa Wisti Schutte, fourth grade teacher at Basswood Elementary— were named semifinalists for Minnesota Teacher of the Year by Education Minnesota, a statewide educators’ union with more than 70,000 members. Each year, a panel of 25 community leaders makes its final selection from a field of more than 100 nominated candidates. Congratulations to our local semifinalists.
