Wesley Kuhnley & Resonant Electronic Design Amp up the Music

Wesley Kuhnley used his love of music to make it sound better.

Wesley Kuhnley knows he makes guitar amplifiers and pedals so well that he offers a lifetime warranty. He sells his products—through his company, Resonant Electronic Design—in ten states and internationally in Australia, Japan, Korea and Europe. And he’s only been in the market for a little more than a year.

The Maple Grove Senior High class of 2001 alum sells high-quality, crisp-sounding guitar amps and pedals at a price that isn’t out of reach for musicians ranging from beginners to touring rock ’n’ roll vets.

Kuhnley has been involved with music since sixth grade and eventually emerged into the music accessories business with friend Peter Bregman after continuous dissatisfaction with the present wares offered. “I resisted becoming a tech geek for a long time,” Kuhnley says. “But through my involvement with music, the studio scene and playing in band at Maple Grove, the nerd eventually came out. I started building my own products because I just wasn’t happy with anything out there.” —BC
