Cream for a Cause Raises Funds to Benefit Non-profits

When traditional Naturopath Cynthia Ransom took the time to read the ingredients of her expensive ‘natural’ hand cream, she wasn’t very pleased. The ingredients weren’t even close to what she considered to be ‘natural’.

“I knew I could create something better, and started dabbling with healthy ingredients inside my kitchen,” she says.

It was then that her new fundraising business, Cream for a Cause, was born.

Ransom was inspired by Newman’s Own when it came to deciding how to market her natural products, “[I] thought, why couldn't we give the retail profits to a charity instead of a store?” Cream for a Cause isn’t technically a non-profit company, but one hundred percent of their profits go to multiple non-profit organizations, including Maple Grove’s very own Huhul-Kin Rays of Sun, which is helping to build a crisis center for women and children in Mexico.

The team at Cream for a Cause sell a variety of all natural and organic skincare and petcare products. They are passionate about creating “absolutely incredible products,” says Linda Bauchwitz, Maple Grove resident and sales manager. She personally recommends their hand cream, which does not contain dimethicone (a popular silicone used in skincare products) and includes an anti-aging ingredient, which she says makes your hands feel “like velvet.” Visit their  website to learn more about their products and fundraising.
