Maple Grove Residents Tony Sorensen and Chris Ohlendorf of Versique Search and Consulting, an executive recruiting firm, have made it their mission to put community first. They provide easy opportunities for employees to donate time and have implemented a community involvement committee.

“We’ve been very blessed in our careers, and we’ve worked hard, so it’s important for us to have the ability to give back,” says Ohlendorf, chief talent officer and founder.

Due to Versique’s volunteer activity, the company received a Community Impact award from Minnesota Business Magazine. One of Versique’s most successful fundraising endeavors has been the annual Dress for Success clothing drive. The event is not only a time to collect donations of women’s professional clothing, but also to help women get interview-ready by offering workshops in resume writing and interviews with professional recruiters.

“All of our events tie in with our community core value,” says Sorensen, president and CEO. “They make it fun and easy for us to give our time.” versique.com
