New Hennepin county environmental program allows for safe disposal of prescription drugs and medications.
Get rid of your prescription drugs safely with a public program, sponsored by Hennepin County and the Hennepin County Sheriff’s Office Environmental Services. The program allows area residents to safely dispose of unwanted or unused medications. This free program features six drop-box locations throughout Hennepin County, where you can dispose of prescription drugs, including controlled substances, as well as over-the-counter and even pet medications safely and effectively. This proactive program aims to cut down prescription drug abuse, as well as the environmental harms of disposing medications improperly.
