Osseo-Maple Grove Knights of Columbus donate winter gear to children in need.
Last year, the Osseo-Maple Grove Knights of Columbus provided 370 winter coats to children in need. This year they more than doubled their efforts by passing out slightly fewer than 1000 pieces of winter gear—not limited to coats. “We found that kids also needed snow pants, so this year we bought snow pants as well,” says grand knight Paul Greninger.
“We are just starting to get local business to help out. We’re hoping next year will be better yet,” Greninger says, adding that the Knights of Columbus work with police, who help hand out the gear, to support better relationships between officers and children.
