Face Foundrié is rooted in the idea that skin care should be accessible and efficient. “After having my third baby, my skin was all out of sorts,” says founder and CEO Michelle Henry. “I just wanted to get facials and fix my skin, but, really, there wasn’t a place where I could go in and get a facial in a reasonable amount of time.”
Henry first opened the business in Edina's Galleria in 2019 and expanded to locations in Minneapolis’ North Loop and another in Maple Grove. “[Maple Grove is] such a bustling area ...," Henry says. Face Foundrié sits smartly next to Ulta Beauty in The Shoppes at Arbor Lakes.
Face Foundrié offers clients several ways to partake in its services, including offering some same-day bookings via its app. Clients enjoy safe, contactless check in and check out. Bachelorette celebrations, birthday parties and other special events are often celebrated with a Face Foundrié experience, and the entire space can rented out and dedicated to group events.
“It’s not a 90-minute ordeal. It’s truly very focused, very intentional facials,” Henry says. You can book a focused facial, which lasts 40 minutes, a mini facial for 20 minutes, add enhancements to any facial, or use the lash extensions, wax and brow services.
All of the products are available for purchase in-store or online, including the Glow To Go At-Home facial kits. Tip: Consider the collagen spritz to revitalize and rehydrate skin, a product that beat out big-name brands like Drunk Elephant and Fenty Beauty for the Beauty Innovation Award of 2020.
If you are unsure of what service will solve your skin issues, chat with one of the trained skin experts for a recommendation. “We really try to customize each facial for our customer’s skin care needs because. Let’s face it, everybody is on their own skin care journey,” Henry says. Take the Skin Quiz online, send in pictures of your problem areas via the website, or chat with a skin expert through the direct messages on Instagram.
Though everyone’s skin needs something different, the most popular facials are the Dermababe, the Sculpt and the Cryo Queen. The Dermababe utilizes dermablading to create a smooth base, removing peach fuzz and dead skin. Henry’s personal go-to is the Sculpt with an added dermaplane enhancement. This facial is touted as a “workout for your face,” including facial cupping and a Hungarian massage. The Cryo Queen facial features cryo technology, using a -180 to -200 degree freezing process to firm and lift skin, ending in an LED treatment to restore skin and stimulate collagen.
There's good news for Henry and the team, which are announcing franchise opportunities. “This is a really exciting time for us,” Henry says. With plans to expand the beauty offerings across the country, Face Foundrié is a brand to watch.
