Portillo’s opens a new location in Maple Grove. Hot dog!
Portillo’s Chicago-style restaurant was created in 1963 by Dick Portillo after investing $1,100 in a trailer with no running water. Years later, after tremendous success with foods like hotdogs, sandwiches, burgers, salads and its famous chocolate cake, expansion continues to more than 50 venues in seven different states, including a new location in Maple Grove—the second in Minnesota. It seats up to 200 guests and has a double lane drive-thru.
