Travel Log: Visitors Down Under

With an average annual rainfall of 6,813 mm on 182 days a year, Milford Sound is known as the wettest inhabited place in New Zealand and one of the wettest in the world. Maple Grove Magazine managing art director Emily Bretzel and her husband, Ryan, visited the hundreds of tiny waterfalls there that disappear within hours of rain stopping. They also returned with a very damp magazine.

Last December, Larry and Debbie Espeland caught a break from the Minnesota winter and left town to watch the Vikings play the Cardinals in sunny Phoenix, Arizona. Though they tried to forget the cold weather back home, they didn’t forget to bring along their latest issue of Maple Grove Magazine.

Tom and Mary Nelson stayed in Maroma Beach, Mexico, during February, and enjoyed the February issue of Maple Grove Magazine.

Lynn Brink and husband Brian were in Playa del Carmen and Cozumel, Mexico, during the February cold earlier this year. They had 76- to 79- degree weather every day and enjoyed the February issue of Maple Grove Magazine. The magazine enjoyed its time in the warm, sunny weather in both places!
