Maple Grove Lions and Rotary Clubs raise funds for charitable purposes at their annual

At the Maple Grove branch of U.S. Bank, Tammy Lawler, customer service manager, opts to use the paid time off for volunteering that U.S. Bank gives her (each employee receives between 4-16 hours each year) to make a difference for the Maple Grove Lions Annual Gift of Sight Golf Classic Tournament.

The 18-hole competition started nine years ago as a challenge by District 5M5 Governor Lion Jack Hines to raise $2,000 for the Gift of Sight foundation. “Through the response, fellowship and support from the club, and fellow golfers, we have been able to carry on forward to our ninth year,” says Dick Kentzelman, chairman of the Lions charity golf committee.

This year the tournament will be held Friday, June 13, 1 p.m. at Pheasant Acres Golf Course in Corcoran; $95 per person, $380 for teams of 4; more info at maplegrovelions.org.
