Students raise funds with Gophers.
Kidstop students at Maple Grove’s Weaver Lake Elementary School partnered with the University of Minnesota Gophers this summer to raise funds to distribute sports equipment to communities in over fifty countries all over the world to help provide sports to impoverished children. Their goal was to raise enough to fund 1,000 pieces of equipment.
The Gophers joined Kidstop students in a car wash fundraiser and sponsored an athletic equipment collection drive. In August, they finished their efforts together by spending an afternoon packing food at Feed My Starving Children.
