Young Women Get Involved as Maple Grove Ambassadors

Meet the young ambassadors who represent Maple Grove this year.

Since 1999, the Maple Grove Ambassador Program has awarded more than $93,000 in scholarships to young women and given them the chance to represent their community. Ambassadors attend volunteer events, parades, coronation events and more, as the faces of Maple Grove. Meet this year’s ambassadors:

Ellen Grabinski, 18, is a senior at Osseo Senior High. She participates in cheerleading, lacrosse and dance. She is a Junior Rotarian, student ambassador, and in the National Honor Society (NHS). She also launched her school’s knitting club. Currently, she is looking at either UND or Winona to study nursing. Ellen is sponsored by Arbor Lakes Dental.

Jillian Klasen, 18, attends University of Minnesota–Duluth studying marketing and graphic design and playing tennis for UMD. While in high school, she was on the “A” Honor Roll, the golf team, tennis team, speech team, in NHS and worked as a caddie for Golden Valley Country Club. Jillian is sponsored by Broman Chiropractic.

Kathryn Fox, 19, is a student at the U of M—Twin Cities. While in high school, Fox was captain of the golf team, manager for the girl’s soccer team, and in link crew, NHS and orchestra. She volunteers at the Animal Humane Society and is studying animal science with a pre-vet focus. Kathryn is sponsored by Rush Creek Golf Club.
