Good humor has a way of growing on you. Maple Grove is getting acquainted with this truth thanks to hometown comedian Scott Hansen, who has nurtured the local comedy scene with his Comedy Tech workshop through the Maple Grove Arts Center. Through a series of classes, he has given normal, everyday people the skills and secrets to discover their comedic dreams.
Hansen is taking it one step further for the Arts Center on March 19 as he teams up with friend and nationally known comedian Jeff Gerbino for a fundraiser at the Osseo American Legion (260 4th Ave.). The laughs start at 8:30 p.m., and tickets cost $15 for advanced general admission, $20 general admission at the door, $25 advanced gold circle and $30 gold circle at the door. Gold circle tickets include reserved seats, a meet and greet with the comedians and a poster.
Joining headliners Hansen and Gerbino are Pete Borchers, Bob DeMaris and Patrick Stuart, who attended Hansen’s the Comedy Tech standup and improvisation classes.
