Full disclosure: I couldn’t even wait to leave the parking lot of The Fountains at Arbor Lakes before sampling one of the cupcakes Abby Jimenez, owner of Nadia Cakes and past winner of Food Network’s Cupcake Wars, brought to our interview. Chatting with all the fabulous folks at these wonderful dining establishments in Maple Grove kind of makes me want to kick up my heels and bust out the rut I’ve carved out for myself; which, truthfully, rather pathetically, consists of pretty much the same place every Friday night for dinner and another place on Saturday night. I haven’t hit 30 yet, but when I check in with my old school district, I feel old.

Since I walked out with diploma in hand in 2001, Osseo Area Schools has made amazing strides when it comes to incorporating technology into the learning environment.

When I was a whippersnapper, teachers wrote on white boards. At the time, that was progress. Now, teachers are using Google Voice, Moodle, Twitter and other digital tools and devices to improve learning.
