December is a busy time at the American Swedish Institute. Celebrate the winter season at its upcoming events:
December 7 and 8: Julmarknad
The annual market festival features handmade items for sale by more than 40 talented local and regional artists.
December 13: Lucia’s Legend Preschool Program
Celebrate Lucia’s Legend, and explore the legend of St. Lucia through stories, crafts and activities.
December 20: Winter Solstice Celebration
Keep warm for the winter solstice with a festival, featuring small plates and warm glögg (Swedish mulled wine) from the FIKA Café.
December 27 and 28: Julglädje Concert
Julglädje (or “Christmas Joy”) brings families together for an annual performance, hosted by popular performer Ross Sutter and featuring American and Swedish holiday tunes.
