Fright for a Cause

The Hamel Lions Club helps you be good, and scared.

The Haunted Acres haunted house has been known to scare the pants off people, and this year is no exception. The Hamel Lions Club, with co-hosts Corcoran Lions Club and Corcoran Jaycees, has worked to remodel the haunted house and update the themes in each section to create a surprising and frightening experience for guests.

“We strive for misdirection, surprise and a unique experience every year,” says Marlene Roberts, vice president of Hamel Lions. Volunteers in full costume and makeup are an integral part of the hair-raising, spine-chilling experience.

Not only do guests receive a good Halloween fright at this event, but they also help out their community, since the proceeds from the event are donated to local food shelves. In fact, if you donate food at the Haunted Acres, you receive a discounted price on your ticket.
