Each year, we create an editorial calendar for Maple Grove Magazine to help guide topics in our monthly issues. One of this month’s talking points is beauty—a word that falls into a chasm filled with loaded and convoluted meanings. After all, what is beauty?

After reading this month’s articles from our staff writers and freelancers, we discovered that many of the pieces are joined together with a level of unexpected beauty all their own.
