Tracy Walsh is a professional photographer and resident of Maple Grove. Looking at her portfolio, you will find that she captures fantastic photographs of people—babies, as well as couples at weddings and engagements. This month, however, Walsh has caught our eye with an outstanding shot of her potted clematis flower. “I just loved the shape of that plant, and I wanted to keep it simple,” Walsh says.
With a bachelor’s degree in fine art from the University of Wisconsin-Stout, it is her attention to textural detail and color that Walsh says sets her apart— especially evident in this particular photo, which boasts shades of purple over a backdrop of greenery. “I used low depth of field to blur out the background,” she says.
