Fall Snowfall garnered second place in the Wildlife and Nature category in our annual Focus on Maple Grove photo contest. Lisa Kirvan took the photo with an iPhone 6 in her front yard.
What inspired you to take the photo?
Every year, I find myself drawn to that tree in the fall, the leaves are so vibrant and beautiful. The day I took the photo, we had a really early snowfall, and the dusting of white on the ground was an amazing contrast to the orange and reds of the tree, and I felt inspired to capture the moment.
Are there spots around Maple Grove where you enjoy taking photos?
I have always been drawn to the beauty found in nature, and we are lucky that Maple Grove has so many wooded trails and a few gorgeous parks. I find amazing photo inspirations at Fish Lake Park on the trails in the summer and fall.
