Maple Grove Youth Choirs Sing Together

Each year the Twin Cities Youth Choral hosts a youth choral festival during which area choirs share their voices and sing together  in a final mass number that captures a kind of pure sound that only young voices can produce and which elicits goose bumps and an inability to wipe the smile off your face. This year’s theme is Dreams that Children Dream. Join them, Sunday, March 2 at 3 p.m. at Lord of Life Lutheran Church, 7401 County Rd 101, to hear of their shared dreams of hope, happiness, peace and security. Maple Grove Author Talk: Sarah Stonich

If “up north” brings back fun memories of camping out and roasting marshmallows under the starry night sky, Sarah Stonich’s new book “Vacationland” will be familiar as it talks about just that kind of place. Try something new. Grab a friend and hear Stonich discuss her new book on November 25th at the Osseo public library in downtown Osseo. Bollywood Dancing in Maple Grove

If you are cooped up inside, here is your chance to kick off your slippers and get a great cardio workout with Bollywood Dancing. Bollywood is a term derived from Bombay (the city now called Mumbai) and Hollywood (the center of the United States film industry). At the heart of many Indian musical films is a dance style modeled on classical Indian dance, which came from northern Indian courtesans and folk dancers. In modern Bollywood films, these historic dance styles blend with Western dance. Sometimes the dance numbers also have an Arabic or Latino influence.

Maple Grove Holiday Parade 2013

Join in the celebration during the fourth annual Sleigh Bells and Sparkle parade. This new fun-filled family tradition on December 7 is a perfect way to get ready for the holiday season. Local businesses have created holiday-themed lighted floats that are like an early Christmas present for children of all ages.
