For many years, Yellow Tree Theatre made us laugh during the holidays with its smash hit Miracle on Christmas Lake series. Now, the team has moved on to another original holiday production that will keep you funny bone tickled: A Hunting Shack Christmas.
When Charlie and Jennifer’s marriage hits a rough patch right before their tenth anniversary, they go to the family hunting shack, hoping to bring back some magic. But when they arrive right before Christmas, they discover a few unwelcome surprises—including Charlie’s uncle Big Paul and his mistress June, running an illegal venison jerky operation at the hunting shack. Hilarity ensues. According to Yellow Tree, it’s a true Minnesota comedy, “featuring deer heads, passive aggressiveness and great big jars of unidentifiable pickled things.”
Directed by Jason Peterson and written by Jessica Lind Peterson, this new comedy runs through December 28. Tickets are usually hard to come by after early attendees realize how funny Yellow Tree holiday shows can be and return with friends. Don’t miss it!
