Looking for fun on a Friday this month? Look no further than the Lookout Bar and Grill. It’s warm enough to be outside on the patio, but you will want to move inside on Fridays to hear the band. Come before 9 p.m.

A visit to the Holiday Inn and Suites in downtown Maple Grove will make you swear you’ve traveled half way around the globe to the bridges and canals of Venice, Italy.

After Independence Day, every Friday night this month can be a family event on Maple Grove’s community lawn. Movies by Moonlight provides free films on a big, big screen.

The season for snow activities is coming to a close, but don’t put away those ice skates just yet. The Maple Grove community has many ice rink locations for your enjoyment and one in particular is indoors, allowing more time on the ice even after the snow starts to melt.

School District 279 will host its annual Night Out this month to raise funds for area schools. Last February, this event raised $20,000.

Teams serve up the ball four nights a week at this local eatery.

Maple Grove held its first annual Chalkfest on Main Street, Arbor Lakes this summer with local, national and international chalk artists, along with future chalk artists from the area.

Cyber Advisors celebrated their new office space at Hwy. 169 and Elm Creek Blvd., with music from local artist Tim Mahoney, beer tasting with A Perfect Pint’s Michael Agnew, an office tour, bouncy house for the kids and food and beverages.

The Maple Grove Farmers Market dedicates the month of September to its loyal senior citizen shoppers. The month’s event includes gift basket drawings, prize giveaways and cooking demonstrations from the chefs at assisted living community Silvercreek on Main, a sponsor of the event.
