Dinner out is a great way for couples to get away and connect, but Maple Grove is also filled with other fantastic Valentine's Day date spots!

Eleven years ago, Maple Grove Parks and Recreation youth outreach coordinator Tanya Hilger reached out to Jennie Zafft, the marketing manager at the Shoppes at Arbor Lakes, with an idea.

Chris Spah is always seeking out new spots to take photos. You may remember his photo of West Arbor Lake in the January 2016 issue. Last summer, Spah was able to attend Maple Grove Days for his second year in a row and he definitely plans on attending again this year, too.

Real estate agents who did business with Keller Williams received some appreciation at the Marriott Northwest in Brooklyn Park. Guest speaker David Arbit gave the keynote and one lucky Realtor won a big trip.

In 2007, avid musical theater performers Greg, Lori, Sharayah and Trevor Bunce looked at their busy schedules and decided to acquire rights and put on their very first backyard production—Oliver!—for friends, neighbors and an audience of about 500 people.

Winter howled outside in January, but these families didn’t mind; they felt the heat of their imaginations at a winter beach party at Eastman Nature Center.

3 Squares Restaurant is a top craft beer bar in Maple Grove. Eighteen out of the 28 beers they offer on tap each week are brewed in Minnesota. And, because 3 Squares wants every beer to be served at the perfect temperature, they recently installed an entirely new delivery line and tap system.

Many Maple Grove residents took the plunge into Fish Lake for Special Olympics Minnesota this year and had fun doing it!

The annual Arbor Day Festival has been a tradition in the Maple Grove community for more than three decades. In its 31st year, the Arbor Day event will offer familiar demonstrations and activities, along with some new additions.
