Travel Log: Visitors Down Under

New Zealand and Australia make the list of magazine visits.

With an average annual rainfall of 6,813 mm on 182 days a year, Milford Sound is known as the wettest inhabited place in New Zealand and one of the wettest in the world. Maple Grove Magazine managing art director Emily Bretzel and her husband, Ryan, visited the hundreds of tiny waterfalls there that disappear within hours of rain stopping. They also returned with a very damp magazine.

Residents Michael and Kelsey Curry also visited the land down under. They watched the sunrise over the Sydney Opera House one morning prior to breakfast. “Australia is such a beautiful country and we hope to go back again sometime soon,” says Kelsey.
