Maple Grove has a new look. A logo created by two graphic design students at North Hennepin Community College will help promote economic development programs, business and commercial development aspects of the community. The city collaborated with the class to see which student duo could create the best design.
Jeffrey Yang and Mariah Ratajek wanted to please city officials and listened to the feedback about their sketches to create the new design.
“Simple was better,” Ratajek says, leading to the creation of the maple leaf, in red and orange hues. She and Yang paired their skills to create a great design.
