After coming home from a long Minnesota winter day, snuggling up in front of a warm fire and putting on cozy, comfortable pajamas is the way to go. The Shoppes at Arbor Lakes not only feature comfy sleepwear, but have fashionable options, too.
Soma, a store owned by Chico’s and sister company White House Black Market, is “the best kept secret in the Shoppes”, according to property marketing manager Jennie Zafft. Soma is a women’s lingerie chain that sells loungewear and pajamas, along with other various undergarments. Soma appeals to women of all ages and sizes and has a varied selection from fun and lacy to practical and comfy. For the upcoming Valentine’s Day holiday, Soma is showcasing a red and black rose-printed pj set. The colorful pattern suggests style while the soft material and drawstring waistband suggest comfort. It can be paired with their matching cushy red slippers that snuggle up to the foot with elastic edging. On extremely cold nights wrap a plush, heavy black robe over the top for extra warmth.

The Gap offers a variety of lounge pants for young men that can be paired with a crew or V-neck T-shirt. The royal blue and white checked pants have a flannel edged waistband for comfort as well as a drawstring and pockets. The T-shirts are soft and made of a weighted material for warmth.

Victoria’s Secret has had a presence in the The Shoppes for the past 13 years. A little more than 2 years ago, they moved locations to allow for expansion. Within the new space, they were able to launch the “Pink” storefront, which is the apparel line of Victoria’s Secret. Here, they showcase a variety of clothing from yoga pants to sweats and pajamas. For the teen girl, there is an endless array of fun and fashionable pajamas to lounge around or sleep in. The Dreamer Henley set offers the perfect amount of pink complete with a matching sleeping mask. The oversized shirt allows for roominess and comfort and the lightweight flannel pants have a thin, shimmery silver-streaked pattern. The sherpa-lined slippers are soft and cozy on the inside and have a crocheted gray exterior weave with a pink heart on one and the VS symbol on the other.

Pottery Barn Kids showcases boys’ love of trucks, sirens and lights. These charming fire truck jammies are made of flannel and are sure to keep a little guy warm and cozy. They are made of a breathable fabric that also promises a comfortable night’s sleep. Pair this nightwear with matching red plush slippers with a fluffy interior and gripper bottoms to prevent slipping.

Gymboree caters to the younger crowd and carries clothes sized for kids from birth to 16. They have several cute sleepwear options that make kids want to jump into bed. The long sleeve T-shirt on this pairing features an adorable bunny wrapped in a gray and pink plaid scarf. The scarf matches the flannel bottoms, which are easy to pull up, allowing kids the ease of dressing themselves. Complimenting the fashionable set are fuzzy pom booty slippers, which are fleeced lined, preventing little ones from getting cold toes. Who wouldn’t want to snuggle up with this cute bunny?

Giving Love and Warmth
Unfortunately, not everyone feels warmth and comfort during winter. Renee Rongan, motivational speaker and author from rural Minnesota, started a pajama party campaign after a friend died from domestic violence.
