Park Center Senior High Musical: Tarzan

Based on the Disney film and showcasing familiar hits such as "You'll Be in My Heart," this high-flying adventure features the story of an orphaned infant boy, taken in and raised by gorillas who name him Tarzan. You'll follow Tarzan through his childhood adventures with his ape friends and family and through his adulthood as he finally meets Jane, a human compellingly like himself. FREE Art Show - 11/28 open house 6-9pm MG Town Green

FREE Art show Sat., Nov. 28 - open house 6-9pm - held at the Maple Grove Town Green meeting room, located at 7991 Main Street, Maple Grove MN (small glass single room building between the library and the government center). Michael, a senior at Maple Grove High School, has been poured his love for basketball, and other sports, into creating some amazing works of art. Bunce Backyard Productions Presents: Children of Eden

Bunce Backyard Productions presents the musical Children of Eden (music & lyrics by Stephen Schwartz, book by John Caird). This event is free and open to the public. Bring a blanket or chair, mosquito repellent, cash for concessions, as well as cash or canned food donations for various charitable organizations. There is ample parking, but plan to arrive at least 15-30 minutes before show time.

The Illusionists

When it comes to magic, there’s a huge variety of artists and acts—grand illusionists, card tricksters, acrobats and more. It’s not often, however, that one show covers the whole gamut. But this month, seven world-renowned illusionists come together to create a spectacular and diverse showcase of unbelievable feats. The Manchurian Candidate

Start with a decorated American soldier, throw in a dash of brainwashing, a few pinches of dastardly schemes plus a beautifully scored opera, and what do you get? The world premiere of The Manchurian Candidate, performed by the Minnesota Opera this month. Based on the novel by Richard Condon, the opera follows soldier Raymond Shaw as he is brainwashed into becoming a ruthless assassin against the U.S. government. Will his fellow soldier be able to stop him before the end of this heart-pounding thriller? Formal opera attire is not required at this performance. $25–$200. Times vary. Pentatonix: On My Way Home Tour

Telling: Minnesota 2015

Relating the experiences of war to civilians can often be a difficult experience for returning veterans. The Telling Project has been working since 2008 to facilitate person-to-person contact between audiences and members of the military to build community and support networks through performance. Telling features a cast of Minnesota military members, veterans and their families performing a script based off of their own experiences for an emotionally poignant show.
