Join us for the second annual Hope Walks & Rolls for Faith’s Lodge. Bring
your family and invite your friends. Walk or roll to honor your hero or a loved
one gone too soon. Walk or roll to bring hope to families who need it. Walk or
roll for Faith’s Lodge.

Bike with a Naturalist

Enjoy the last day of May by touring the beautiful trails of Elm Creek Park Reserve with a seasoned naturalist instructor. Throughout the tour, you will make several stops to observe and learn about the natural wildlife that the Eastman Nature Center has to offer to its visitors. Make sure to bring your camera, as you never know what you may come across. Participants must bring their own bike and helmet for the excursion and water bottles are recommended. Memorial Day Animal Show

Celebrate Memorial Day by bringing the entire family to the Animal Show for an afternoon with the inhabitants of the Eastman Nature Center. Make sure to bring your camera as you will have a chance to touch live turtles, snakes and salamanders as you learn about their habitats, why these animals are special and what makes them so unique, aside from just being cold-blooded. Dog Adoption Event

Each year, there is an abundance of homeless or unwanted animals looking for a loving family to take them in as their own. Ruff Start Rescue, a Minnesota-based non-profit organization, hosts dozens of pet adoption events throughout the state each year, and on May 16, they will be hosting a day-long adoption event at the PetSmart of Maple Grove. Bird Banding at Eastman

Join licensed biologists as you study aging, migration patterns and assess populations of wild birds with a morning of bird banding. The event includes demonstrations of how wild birds are safely captured, banded and released back into the wild. Make sure to bring your camera, as there will be some great up-close time with the songbirds. All ages, children 17 and under must be accompanied by an adult. Free admission. Walk When the Moon Is Full: Frog Moon

Join the naturalists of the Eastman Nature Center for an event centered around the singing of frogs. Participants learn to distinguish common frog calls and other nighttime sights and sounds of the natural world in and around the Maple Grove area. 20 percent discount to groups of four or more. Celebrate 48: The 48th Annual Wastebasket Revue!

This year’s show is titled “Celebrate 48 – the 48th Annual Wastebasket Revue”.  We invite you to join us for an evening of variety, fun and entertainment.  Sit back, relax, and enjoy a selection of great music hits, fun skits, great dance lines, the “dynamite” WBR band, the incredible Swingin’ Eds, and the WBR humor that has captivated audiences for decades.

The purpose of the show is to raise money for scholarships given to graduating seniors in the Osseo District.  Over $1,000,000 has been raised since 1967 with 767 scholarships being awarded.  $40,000 was awarded in 2014. Read more about Celebrate 48: The 48th Annual Wastebasket Revue!
