Sap to Syrup Demos

Learn about the history and the scientific principles behind the sweet gift of nature that makes your short stack of flapjacks just that much better. Observe as volunteers and Eastman Nature Center naturalists demonstrate traditional harvesting methods that have stuck around through the centuries. Trillium Woods Hosts Coffee and Conversation Event

Trillium
Woods, a resort-style retirement community under construction and scheduled to
open summer 2015, is welcoming the public to enjoy coffee and brunch while
learning about the amenities and benefits of living at Trillium Woods at 10 a.m.
Wednesday, Feb. 11 at Rush Creek Golf Club located at 7801 County Road 101 in Maple
Grove, Minn.

Groundhog Day Celebration

Option one: Commemorate this underappreciated holiday by watching the movie Groundhog Day on repeat. Make a fresh batch of popcorn and laugh in the same way at the same volume at all the same jokes each time. Option two: Instead of frightening your preschooler, take him or her out to Elm Creek Park Reserve for groundhog-related activities, including a puppet show, crafting, hike and a crawl through a “groundhog tunnel.” And then commemorate this under-appreciated holiday by watching Groundhog Day on repeat. Sleigh Bells & Sparkle Parade

‘Tis the season! The fifth annual Sleigh Bells and Sparkle Parade will take place on Main Street in Maple Grove once again. Bundle up and ring in the holiday festivities with the rest of the community. After the parade, Santa and Mrs. Claus will light the community tree at the Government Center to round out the fun-filled night.
