Once again, October is designated as Breast Cancer Awareness Month, which means a time for heightened awareness about the importance of finding a cure.
With a record-shattering turnout in April’s Minnesota Yarn Shop Hop, local stores were able to tie together a whopping $37,500 for area food shelves, including Maple Grove-based CROSS.
Attendees at the 2015 Ticked Off gallery opening event at the Maple Grove Arts Center took the Lyme Challenge with a hearty bite into a lime and support for Lyme’s Disease eradication.
Each day starts with an old fashioned “rise and shine” logging call. Boys ages 7 to 17 climb out of their beds at 8 a.m. sharp. Many start their day by grabbing a towel and taking a quick dip in the lake. Flag raising is at 8:15. At 8:20, breakfast is served.
For dogs living on the streets, it is only natural to eat garbage, be riddled with diseases and never know the love of a veterinarian or owner. It’s a game of survival and one without hope.
Committed to serving individuals and families in the Maple Grove area, CROSS Services has taken another step toward making hot meals more readily available to citizens in need.
