Wastebasket Revue (WBR) first started in 1967 when Osseo district music teacher/ supervisor Duayne Malewicki suggested finding a unique way to raise scholarship funds for graduating seniors.

The women in the Vino 16 wine group have been meeting monthly for more than ten years, tasting wine and sharing life experiences. In recent years, the group decided to contribute a few dollars each month toward helping out families in need.
Since the opening of Maple Grove Hospital five years ago, the Knitting Grandmas have been crafting hats for each and every baby born there. Founded by Molly Sullivan and two other women, the group of about 50 knitters is now co-led by Jerry Enders and Kim Wood.

Many men, women and children across the globe have shoes on their feet this year, thanks to the combined efforts of the Maple Grove Girl Scouts and the Soles 4 Souls organization. Every third week of June, the girls meet for fun at Lights and Lakes Day camp.
