Drinks

What could be better than some coffee—and bourbon?

Ah, August—the dog days of summer. We are weeks away from kids going back to school, two months away from raking leaves and, sorry to say, three months away from snow.

As the days become colder the drinks should heat up. John Farrell at Haskell’s in Maple Grove recommends these four combos for chilly temperatures.

Hot Mulled Cider
4 cinnamon sticks
1 tsp. ground cloves
1 tsp. nutmeg
½ gallon apple cider

“My favorite wine is what’s open,” says vice president of Haskell’s John F. Farrell, III. Although Farrell isn’t picky on wine choices, he does have some recommendations for your table this fall.

OMNI Brewing Company—open since September 2015—features a special brew almost every month. For the month of March, they will be re-introducing a St. Patty’s Day favorite—Rua.
