Eating out involves more than food these days: the dining experience has grown into an interactive activity that builds community, and trivia nights have hit Maple Grove by storm. Many restaurants, bars, pubs or taverns feature some kind of trivia contest event.

 

District 279 Foundation raised more than $23,000 at Night Out at the 279 Olympics. Entertainment and inspiration came from Chinese dancers and hula-hoop acrobats, and John Harrington from the 1980 Miracle on Ice US Olympic hockey team.

For the 5th year, the Maple Grove Arts Center hosts a show consisting completely of art that is black and white (and shades of gray). Featured art includes everything from paintings and photographs to beading and quilts.

Get all dressed up, grab your friends, and head to Girl’s Night Out on October 2, an annual fundraiser that benefits Hope Chest for Breast Cancer. The organization provides funding for education, research and treatment for women in the Twin Cities who are fighting breast cancer.
