Maple Grove Resident Adam Gallagher says he mainly focuses on documenting his life in photographs to reminisce down the road. Gallagher’s iPhone photo, Perfect Day to Fly a Kite, features his daughter Adelaene, now 9.
There are more than 250 species of bumblebees in the world. They are a welcome sight to gardeners because they pollinate plants and flowers while they forage for food. They are also used intentionally with some greenhouse crops. The bees don’t even have to land on the flowers.
A Neighbor's Story
We’ll call her D. She lives in Maple Grove. She is your neighbor. She is a mother with an elementary school-aged child. She works, but at an unlivable wage. She gets behind in her rent.
On a trip to Flam, Norway, and Reykjavik, Iceland, Rick Syhre stopped in the “city of literature” with his own bit of literature.
Mindy Gallagher has had a lifelong passion for taking photographs. “In high school, I took every photo class I could get my hands on,” she says.
Kaitlyn Walters has been part of the community since the age of 6. Recently married, she and her husband chose to stay close to home. When asked what she likes about Maple Grove, Walters explains the way she’s watched the community grow. “When I was a kid, it was a lot smaller,” she says.
Last November, Maple Grove Magazine featured local book club Read Winers. This month, they invite readers to participate online in their latest book discussion of the novel A Man Called Ove by Fredrik Backman.
Humayun’s Tomb in Delhi, the inspiration for the Taj Mahal, was the backdrop of this vacation shot with sisters Sarah and Katie Masich. They moved to Maple Grove only recently, but wouldn’t leave the country without a piece of home.
